Yolanda Phillips Strong
Assistant Principal, Webster Elementary
Yolanda Phillips Strong, is the Assistant Principal at Webster Elementary School. She is a native of Yazoo City and graduate of Yazoo City High School (1984). She is a distinguished educator with over twenty years of experience in education as an instructional assistant, teacher, team leader, mentor, and curriculum specialist.
Yolanda earned a bachelor’s degree in Childcare and Family Education and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Jackson State University. Her dedication to student achievement has been a lifelong commitment therefore continuing her educational career and pursuing a specialist degree from Delta State University in Educational Leadership and Supervision.
Yolanda enjoys family, church, shopping, and traveling. She is married to Curtis Strong, they have four children and six grandchildren. Yolanda Strong’s educational background and personal experiences helped shape her philosophy of education. Mrs. Strong believes all students are capable of learning at the highest level possible and our educational system will provide our children with the skills needed to be successful in our global economy.
